Bea joined Duke Animal Hospital in 2023 as a ward assistant and became best friends with our clinic turtle, Heidi, literally bringing her out of her shell. Since, Bea has cross-trained to assist the medication team as a technician assistant, working directly with patients and clients. She is currently enrolled in Unity and Environmental University for her bachelor's of science in animal health and behavior. She made the transition from the service industry to follow her passion for animals and their care. She enjoys helping animals recover after their anesthetic procedures, and expanding her skillset in the lab. She has built many meaningful relationships with clients and their pets over the years. At home, Bea has two cats: Stephen and Captain Meowdy, who enjoy photoshoots and hats. In her spare time when she isn't studying, she enjoys playing the Sims 4, crocheting, and carpool karaoke.
