This is a great place that has cared for a couple of my dogs. They did such a great job taking care of them all the way around, including one who has since passed on, and I also felt like they never over-estimated or recommended procedures that they wouldn't do for their own dogs. I don't live too close anymore but after trying a couple more local vets I've gone back to Duke since it's just better!

The people are great, the vets are great (and there are nine of them). They took care of my little Winnie and hopefully she's back on the road to good health. It's unfortunate that they're all the way across town for me but I just can't say enough good things about them and I want my cats to go to a vet where they see the same that all the time and the vet knows what's going on with them and they don't keep making me repeat tests over and over again to the tune of $300 each for the same thing. Anyway, I think they're wonderful.

After our vet of 30 years was bought by a corporation, we no longer loved the service so we chatted with other folks in the neighborhood and brought our new kitten to Duke. They have been nothing but fantastic and caring with our cat and we're so happy to find a new vet with the personable service we used to have.

I've been coming to Duke Animal Hospital for around a decade now since I had my first guinea pig. Everyone there is so friendly and compassionate. Compared to the last Hospital I've been to that treats exotic animals this one is one of the best.

Dr Duke has assembled a wonderful practice. All the staff is kind and caring. They have extended hours and work hard to fit last-minute appointments in. Facility is clean with modern equipment. I've used them for 2 cats and 1 dog. The doggo had some seriously major surgery, and I was confident that he was in good hands. Pricing is vetinary pricing... pet insurance is always a wise move, in my opinion.

Amazing doctors & techs. They were my Abigail's angels since no one could/would find time for an emergency/appt for an injury that turned out to be an (almost) emergency surgery (it was scheduled for the next day). Well, they made the time & they made loyal clients of us. Their care & concern, not to mention adoration of Abigail (who is of course friggin adorable) was absolutely genuine. I know BS. They are not full of any such thing! These guys...I can't tell you 100%... But I'm fairly certain their bottom line...besides rent & food...genuinely, is making sure they help any animal that comes thru their doors, as best they possibly can...within reason...Let's face it, we work to live but when you live to work because you love your job??? It shows. Thank you Duke staff! It's been awhile, but I needed to finally tell Chicago how terrific you are!

I took my cat, Lucky, to this place for an appointment with Angela Duke, and she was phenomenal. After a string of negative experiences with a previous vet, I was nervous about seeing someone new, but Angela and her staff quickly dispelled any doubts in my mind that bringing Lucky here was a good choice. She was able to get Lucky in for a dental cleaning not even a month after our visit, and it went very well. The vet who did the procedure was incredibly sweet and took the time afterward to inform me of what they did and why. It's 100% worth the trip for the stellar folks here and their equally stellar pet care. Thank you so much!! Lucky is doing very well!

Switched to Duke about 18 months ago and have been very happy with every vet we’ve seen there. Today we had an emergency and I was so glad we had switched. They got us in and took great care of my dog after he was attacked and even cleaned his ears and clipped his nails while he was sedated, which they didn’t have to do. Thank you so much to them. I knew I’d made the right decision before, but this experience cemented it.

Recently switched to Duke Animal Hospital for my two pups. I have been so impressed by the care and compassion of all of the staff here. Everyone is so kind, loves animals, and listens to all of your concerns. They follow up with check-in emails and always make sure you feel your questions are answered. They also send you cost estimates up front and take time to walk you through different options.

When we adopted our rescued Husky, I came in with a list of worries (she had heartworms, was super underweight, and had several health issues from being on the street), and Duke's lovely staff helped us get her healthy, and she's doing great now. Our older Border Collie is currently dealing with an unexpected infection, and while I'm stressed and worried, I feel reassured and informed because of Duke's communication and care with us throughout the treatment process.

Just want to say hats off to these lovely people. I'm very happy to have been able to connect my pooches to such great establishment.

We've used Duke for a few years now and I have been really impressed with them. They work late evening and weekends so it's really easy to be seen by them. I would say it is a high end service. You'll pay city prices here but they have the technology and services that deliver what you pay for. I'd definitely recommend the staff and doctors here. They are kind and compassionate.

The vet and techs were unbelievably kind to us. Most vet offices don't or can't see small animals, but they saw my gerbil and treated him with as much respect as you would with any larger animal--something I'm incredibly grateful for. Every animal deserves the care they need!
